I am about to head out for the Hanna vs. Westside Football game, which NewSpring Church will be hosting a tailgate to help promote PULSE. Come on out, eat some great food, hear some awesome music, hang with some awesome NewSpring peeps, play some cornhole, and watch a great game.
Here is an article from the Anderson Independent-Mail about the game:
Games get no bigger that Hanna vs. Westside

Alden, Logistics questions: Do volunteers pay for the food or does it come out of your budget? Is it catered or volunteer driven? How do people know you are there? Can you post some pictures? How many people did you plan to feed? Thanks, Tina

Tina,
We pay for the cost of the tailgate out of our budget. We get a huge grill and cook hot dogs and hamburgers. We also have cookies, chips, etc. Our volunteers are always a HUGE help whenever we do any event. We had volunteers help with setup, cooking, tear down, cleanup, everything. We advertise through our students. We let our students know that we are going to be there and tell them to come by. We also try to claim the best spot…the one that will have the most traffic on the way to the stadium. Tonight, we got a generator and had DJ Skillspinz blazing on a banging sound system. To answer your question about the number of people we estimate to feed…it is a guess. We cooked right around 100 hamburgers and 100 hot dogs…most of all the food was gone by the end of the night. I will do my best to post some pics later. Thanks for your questions. Feel free to ask more questions anytime! Let me know if you have anymore!
