Weekend Recap…

What an awesome weekend. Here are some of the events from my weekend:

  • Got to attend at Williams-Brice Stadium and watch the University of South Carolina Gamecocks beat the University of Kentucky Wildcats, 38-23, on national television. I have been to a lot of home games in the past couple of years and I have NEVER heard that stadium that loud! It was CRAZY and AWESOME all at that same time. More on the game in a later post.
  • Deanna took Friday off!
  • Deanna and I went to Hendersonville, NC and spent the day going to many different orchards, shops, restaurants, etc.
  • We started out by going to SkyTop Orchard right outside of The Village of Flat Rock, NC. They did not have many apples on the trees…actually we did not see any, but we bought some Granny Smith apples and some apple butter. Although there were not any apples on the trees, the views from the orchard overlooking the mountains was outstanding!
  • We also did some shopping at The Wrinkled Egg and some of the surrounding stores, which Deanna really enjoyed.
  • We ate lunch at Flat Rock Village Bakery. We order a pepperoni pizza. Deanna and I both agreed that it was some of the best pizza we have eaten in a long time. They cook it in a brick oven and the ingredients they use are fresh and mostly organic.
  • We then went to Coston’s Apple House. We were able to pick some apples here. Deanna and I had a blast to
  • We ate dinner at Flight Restaurant in downtown Hendersonville, NC. They had an awesome environment. We ate on the balcony beside the window and it was great to able to watch people walk down the streets.
  • We stayed at The Claddagh Inn, the first bed and breakfast in Hendersonville. It was a great
  • On Saturday we drove to Spartanburg for my nephew, Anderson’s birthday! It was a costume party. Anderson is going through a Scooby phase and wanted to be Scooby so upon his request he was Scooby, Ellis was Shaggy, I was Daphne, Nathan was Freddie and our sister in law Deanna was Velma. I dressed up as Clark Kent.
  • Unfortunately, Anderson fell and fractured his Tibia bone. Ashley and Nathan have to take him to the pediatric orthopedic. Pray for him and my sister as he can’t move around well at all. Here is a pic from the party of the “Scooby Gang”:

Deanna and I had a GREAT weekend just hanging out and relaxing. It has been a long time coming and very welcomed!

Computer Can Tell How Hard You’re Working?!?

An article just came out saying that a computer can tell how hard you re working, if you are not working, or if you are over-worked.  Interesting!  This maybe a problem for some people or it maybe a good thing for some.  Whatever happened to being dedicated to your job or work because you are passionate about it?
