Today is a GREAT day! Today, I have been married to Deanna for 6 years! She has been the best wife I could have ever hoped for. We have been blessed by God to go on many adventures together and experience so much together. Each one of those adventures has grown us as a couple and we are better because we love each other.
I will never forget June 14, 2003, when I saw Deanna come down the aisle…I will admit that that I was an emotionally mess…I was crying all over the place. She was so beautiful…she was beaming as she walked down the aisle…she glided down the aisle with confidence and with grace. She was radiant. I remember being so overwhelmed with joy that she was going to be my wife. It was a FABULOUS day…it just seems like yesterday that we were experiencing that moment together.
In the 6 years that we have been married, we have been able to experience:
- St. Thomas in the Virgin Islands
- Own 2 homes and working on a third
- Birth of our first son
- vacation in Hawaii for our 5 year anniversary
- serve FBC Florence for 2 years
- see so many lives change because of a relationship with Jesus
- vacation in Savannah, Ga
- move to Anderson to begin serving at NewSpring Church
- vacation in Charleston, SC
- begin to pour into other couples through premarital counseling
- and so much more!
We have had our ups and our downs, with sooo many more ups than downs, but each one of those experiences has been worth it! We have learned to put God at the center of our marriage and keep him there. It is in that truth, that our love for each other has grown very deep!!
Deanna, You are a gift from God!! You are the epitome of a Proverbs 31 woman. It has been a blast over the past 6 years to learn you, serve you, and love you. I am looking forward to 100 more with you. I love watching you take care of Bryce, you were created to be a mother and I am so thankful that you are the mother of my child and future children :).
“A wife of noble character who can find? She is worth far more than rubies. Her husband has full confidence in her and lacks nothing of value. She brings him good, not harm, all the days of her life…She is clothed with strength and dignity; she can laugh at the days to come. She speaks with wisdom, and faithful instruction is on her tongue. She watches over the affairs of her household and does not eat the bread of idleness. Her children arise and call her blessed; her husband also, and he praises her: “Many women do noble things, but you surpass them all.” Charm is deceptive, and beauty is fleeting; but a woman who fears the Lord is to be praised. Give her the reward she has earned, and let her works bring her praise at the city gate.” Proverbs 31:10-12 & 25-31
I love you SWEETIE!!!

Dude, this motivates the crap out of me. I love hearing these kinds of stories because it gives me more hope and more anticipation of finding that Proverbs 31 chick. You guys are the bomb!
