Alden Ellis

WOW!  What a couple of weeks it has been in my life.  We have been through so many good things that it is crazy to set back and think.  We are in the middle of an amazing time of transition and every step of the way God has been providing for me and my family.  Here are some of the things that we have been experiencing lately:

• Moved out of our house and into my brother & sister-in-law’s apartment above their garage.
• Recently sold our house.
• Began the process to find a house in Columbia.
• I have been meeting with some folks who are interested in being a part of the campus and they are fired up!!
• Almost finalized our location…which we will announce soon along with our launch date! I am so pumped.
• Been working to hire our last position at the Columbia Campus…

Now, for the most exciting for me…my little man!!  He is growing so much that it is CRAZY!  It is so much fun to hang out with him and to hear his grunts, coos, and ahhs.  He is an amazing little man and each day he does something new and is growing and I could not be prouder as a father.

With that in mind, God spoke to me the other day and said, “You know, I am proud of you when you are growing in your relationship with me. Do you feel you are growing daily or are your just DOING ministry for me daily?”

OUCH!

I am thankful that God speaks to me and sometimes it is uncomfortable, but I need that in my life.  Ministry is exciting, but never forsake your PERSONAL time with Jesus, it is the only thing that will sustain your life…forget your ministry…your spiritual life is so much more important!

Thanks for so many that have been praying for us during our transition, please continue. Here are some things that you can feel free to pray for us:

• Find a home for us and a quick problem free closing
• Finalize campus location
• Finalize final position
• For the other staff members who will be moving their families and for them to find homes quickly
• For the volunteers who will be serving at our campus
