I am so excited about January 24th! This is the day that we will be celebrating NewSpring Church’s 10 Year Anniversary at the Bi-Lo Center in Greenville, SC! It is going to be AMAZING! Trust me when I say that you DON’T want to miss it. We are expecting over 15,000 people to attend. If you live in Columbia, you can ride with us. We are chartering buses to take the Columbia Campus. Sign up here if you would like to ride with us!
To get ready for it, take a look at the promo video we showed at our Christmas Services:
I hope that all of you in the blogosphere have a MERRY CHRISTMAS!!
At our Christmas services we used the following video as the sermon opener. I loved it and it moved me in a big way, now that I have a little boy watching me everyday, so honestly….all I can say is WOW! Check it out here:
Yesterday was incredible! I was able to lead a team of 25 volunteers to Harbison West Elementary School and give each child a brand new pair of New Balance shoes. It was so awesome!! WIS-TV came and did a story on it and it ended up being a great story. Check it out here:
Today, there is a group of 48 people who will be leaving to serve in Kenya! I am so pumped for this group and it is my prayer that God will protect them as they travel, but will also wreck them as they serve.
Jump over to Dave Nimmons’ blog to get a full detail of what they will be doing while in Kenya. You can also see who is going, so you can pray for them by name.
Lastly, in the list of people you notice that there are people going from Anderson, Florence, and Greenville. I can’t wait till we have some folks from our Columbia Campus join in on future trips. You can go to the NewSpring website for details on future Kenya trips, but here is a list of the future trips coming up in 2010:
NewSpring Thanksgiving Food Drive is happening on November 15th! The Columbia Campus is partnering with the Oliver Gospel Mission to provide an entire Thanksgiving meal box for needy families in the Midlands. You can help by bringing items below to fill the boxes so these families can enjoy Thanksgiving dinner.
This is a great opportunity for us to reach out into the community and make a difference for these families.
Please bring any or all of these items to church this Sunday, November 15th:
* 10-12 lb Frozen Turkey
* Frozen Pumpkin Pie
* Canned Whole Kernel Corn (15.25 oz)
* Canned Yams (29oz)
* Canned Jellied Cranberry Sauce (16oz)
* Stovetop Style Stuffing (6-8oz)
* Kraft Style Boxed Macaroni & Cheese (7.25oz)
* Canned Peas (15oz)
* Canned Green Beans (14.5oz)
* Turkey Gravy Packets (.87oz)
God has been doing some amazing stuff through NewSpring Church at all of our campuses. I have been so crazy with things that I have failed to write my thoughts from this past Sunday as we launched our Columbia Campus. I am planning on doing that tomorrow, yes a couple of days late, but never to late. In the meantime, check out this video of how God used NewSpring Church in Kenya to administer God’s grace to the people of the Segera Community!! Powerful!!
This desire of this post is SIMPLE! Please pray for me and my staff as we are doing everything we can to prepare for this weekend as we launch our Columbia Campus.
Honestly, as I type this it feels as my body is beginning to shut down. I have been going for a long time with little rest. My actions and pace have been unbiblical and is sin. I will have to deal with the consequences of my choices. With that being said, I would ask that you pray for me and recovery, as I feel that sickness heading my way.
I hate this for MANY reasons….
I could have possibly prevented this with adequate rest.
I saw it coming and did nothing.
It is horrible timing.
I am so excited about what God will do this Sunday and I don’t want to miss a single detail.
I don’t like feeling like this.
I am not prepared for this lack of energy.
Anyway, I would appreciate your prayers!!
Regardless, come and join us for one of our 2 services (9:15AM & 11:15AM) at our Columbia Campus! Look forward to seeing you there…I promise, I won’t hug you or breathe on you
On September 27th, we will launch the Columbia Campus. There are so many reason why I am excited about this, but I am very excited how we will start the campus. We will begin a new series at our church and this series will hit home with a lot of people and answer a lot of questions that people have. So, to launch our Columbia Campus we will launch with a series titled, “How to Survive the End of the World!” You do not want to miss this. What happens when it all comes crashing down? When the mightiest nations fall, when hope is lost, and nothing will stop the countdown to The End? Where do we turn?
Join us on September 27th for one of our two morning services (9:15AM and 11:15AM) and click here for directions to the campus. See you there!!
